Minnie Pearl is a registered Asian Violet (Primulina) hybridized by Barb Borleske from a cross of Primulina ophiopogoides and Primulina linearifolia. It has narrow, shiny dark green leaves and an upright growth habit, creating a distinctive appearance compared with many broader-leaved Primulina cultivars.
When in bloom, Minnie Pearl produces elegant white, salver-shaped flowers held above its narrow foliage. It is known as a particularly free-flowering Primulina, capable of producing numerous flowers and buds on a mature plant, giving it the bright, pearl-like floral display suggested by its name.
HCN grows Minnie Pearl as an established live plant in a 4-inch nursery pot.
Plant Information
๐ฟ Asian Violet (Primulina)
๐ Charm, bold color. Asian Violets are slow-growing Gesneriads with shimmery leaves and delicate blooms. Originally native to the limestone cliffs and forest understories of southern China and northern Vietnam, Asian Violets have adapted to thrive in low-light, low-nutrient environments. Perfect for collectors of African Violets and other Gesneriads.
๐ธ Bloom Assurance
When you select an In Bloom / Budding plant, we select an established Asian Violet that is blooming or already developing buds at the time it is prepared for shipment.
When you select Out of Bloom, you will receive the same type of established plant in a 4-inch nursery pot, but it may not have flowers or active buds at the time of shipment. Out-of-bloom plants are a great option for enjoying the distinctive foliage of Asian Violets while growing the plant toward its next bloom cycle.
Because these are living plants, flowers and buds can naturally change during packing and transit.
