Why Buy Plants From Heavenly Creation Nursery (HCN)

Heavenly Creation Nursery (HCN) is a family-owned nursery in Palm Harbor, Florida specializing in African Violets, Hoya, Asian Violets (Primulina), Episcia, Streptocarpus and other collectible Gesneriads and specialty plants.

Our focus is straightforward: healthy, established plants, carefully grown and prepared for their journey to your home.

Established Plants

We focus on established live plants with developed root systems rather than tiny starter plugs or unrooted cuttings unless a product listing specifically states otherwise. Plant size and pot size vary by product, so each product page provides the details for the plant being offered.

Climate-Controlled Gesneriad Growing

All of our Gesneriads are grown and maintained in climate-controlled growing facilities, allowing HCN to manage temperature, light and growing conditions throughout the year.

This includes our African Violets, Asian Violets (Primulina), Episcia, Streptocarpus, Alsobia, Codonanthe and other Gesneriads.

African Violets Are a Major HCN Specialty

African Violets remain the largest part of our nursery. HCN carries a large and continually changing selection of named varieties.

Many African Violets are available as either In Bloom / Budding or Out of Bloom (OOB), allowing customers to choose between a plant already entering its flowering cycle or the same type of established plant without current blooms.

A Growing Collection for Plant Collectors

Beyond African Violets, HCN offers a growing selection of Hoya, Asian Violets (Primulina), Episcia, Streptocarpus and other collectible plants.

Our inventory changes frequently as plants grow, propagate and become ready for sale, so customers can regularly find new varieties and limited-quantity plants.

Careful Live-Plant Shipping

Live plants require more care in transit than ordinary merchandise. HCN packs plants to help protect the pot, growing media and foliage while reducing movement during shipping.

We also take seasonal temperatures into consideration. Cold-weather protection, including insulation and heat packs, is included when appropriate.

Plants Are Inspected Before Shipping

Plants are inspected as orders are prepared. Because these are living plants, individual appearance, foliage, flowers and buds naturally vary, but our goal is to send healthy plants that meet HCN's standards at the time they leave our nursery.

A Nursery Run by Plant Growers

HCN grew from our own interest in growing and collecting plants. We continue to grow, propagate and learn about the plants we sell, and that experience influences how we select plants, grow them, pack them and develop the care information we provide to our customers.
