Michaelmoelleria Vietnamensis - Live Plant 4" - Vietnam origin - Very Rare
Michaelmoelleria Vietnamensis is the only species in this newly-established (2020) genus. It is cultivated in China and Vietnam currently and is becoming more broadly distributed in horticulture. M. vietnamensis is still very rare in the United States as well as many other countries. M. vietnamensis likes well drained soil and can be treated similar to the African Violet with less concern of overwatering. Blooms last a couple of weeks and it is common for a single plant to have multiple blooms at one time.
Care Instructions:
Sunlight: 10+ hours of Indirect sunlight for optimal blooming. If you expose to direct light, morning sun is best and limit to only 2 - 3 hours.
Watering: Water when top of the soil is dry. Water in the morning is best to avoid mildew. M. vietnamensis like to be moist, but not soggy. Drain excess water.
Fertilization: Liquid Fertilizer 8-14-9 Use a weak solution each time you water for best blooming results.
Temperature: 60°to 70°F is preferred. NOTE: Be cautious and protect from temperatures under 60°.
