African Violets (Saintpaulia) are compact, flowering houseplants adored for their soft, fuzzy leaves and cheerful blooms. These beauties are native to Tanzania and East Africa, where they thrive in the cool, shaded understories of mountain forests. Indoors, they’re one of the most rewarding bloomers, capable of producing flowers in a wide range of colors year-round with proper care.

🌸 Bloom Assurance

We offer mature African Violets that are either in bloom / budding or have just completed their first blooming cycle ('Out of Bloom' option). This gives you the choice to enjoy blooms right away—or save a little by selecting one that’s temporarily resting. 🌿

☀️ Sunlight

• 🌥️ Needs 10+ hours of indirect light for best blooming.
• 🚫 Do not expose to direct sunlight—it can scorch the leaves.

💧 Watering

• 💧 Water when the top of the soil is dry.
• 🌞 Morning watering is best to prevent mildew.
• 🚿 Keep soil moist but never soggy.
• 📤 Always drain excess water—never let the pot sit in standing water.

🌼 Fertilization

• 🧃 Use a liquid fertilizer (8‑14‑9)
• 🥄 Apply a weak solution each time you water for consistent bloom support.
