Why are some Violets so much smaller than the others?

Just like people, violets come in a delightful variety of sizes and growth habits. Some grow more quickly, some bloom more heavily, and others take their sweet time maturing. Here at our nursery, we focus on selling violets based on maturity rather than overall size. So, even if two violets are the same age, one might appear smaller simply because of its growth characteristics or blooming stage.

Most of the African Violets we offer are grown right here in our nursery. We start with young plants and nurture them until they reach their first bloom cycle—this is when they’re ready to meet their new homes. Naturally, this means some violets are a bit larger than others when they're listed for sale, depending on how each one grows and blooms.

🌸 We also offer a special ‘Out of Bloom’ option. These are violets that have already completed their first blooming cycle. They’re typically more mature and larger than our ‘Budding / In Bloom’ selections. They may not be in flower when you receive them, but rest assured—they're just between shows and saving up for their next dazzling performance.

Every violet has its own personality and rhythm. Whether small and just getting started, or a seasoned bloomer catching its breath, each one is grown with care and ready to thrive with a little love in its new home.
